Incorporated in the heart of the Blue Blanket Valley in 1883, Hoven is conveniently located 14 miles south of US Highway 12 and 13 miles north of US Highway 212. South Dakota Highway 47/20 runs through its Main Street. Faith, family, and farm have always taken center stage in Hoven. Abundant wildlife assures top-notch hunting. Excellent fishing on the Missouri River's Lake Oahe is within easy driving distance.

What To See

The Missouri River and nearby Lake Oahe offer stunning sights and excellent fishing. Lake Oahe is the first stop along the northern part of the Missouri River. This deep, clear lake makes for excellent boating and fishing. While you're there stop by the Oahe Dam – one of the largest earth-rolled dams in the world.
